Bentonite Clay: Purification PowerhouseBentonite clay has been highly valued by many cultures across the world for thousands of years. The clay is highly adsorptive, meaning it binds to certain substances on its surface rather than being absorbed into the body.

In its natural state, bentonite clay carries a strong negative surface charge. This allows it to attract and bind certain positively charged ions, including heavy metals. This unique property is what makes bentonite clay a versatile purification powerhouse.

Our bentonite is finely milled to easily combine with water for use as a detox drink and also forms into a smooth paste for external application.

Internally as a detox drink:

  • Supports the body’s natural detoxification processes

  • Traditionally used to soothe minor skin irritations
  • Commonly used in natural oral care
  • Helps cleanse hair and remove excess oil
How to prepare Bentonite Clay
Internal detox drink:

Bentonite Clay Purification Powerhouse

Dissolve 1 heaped teaspoon in water and consume before bed for 30 days. Increase your daily water intake during detox.

Important: Consume bentonite clay at least 2 hours before or after taking any medications. Bentonite clay may bind to some medications and reduce their effectiveness.

External preparations:

Face mask: blend 1 part bentonite to 2 parts water, and mix into a smooth paste. Apply a thin layer to face and neck. After 10 minutes has passed, remove with warm water. Apply the clay mask once per week for optimal results.

Full body mud pack: in a large bowl blend bentonite clay and water to a consistency of thick mud and apply all over your body. After 10-15 minutes has passed, wash off the clay in the shower.

Clay bath: gradually add a quarter cup to a warm bath and soak for 20 minutes for a refreshing topical body therapy that softens the skin and clears pores.

Foot soaks: use 2 tablespoons of bentonite clay in a relaxing warm foot bath for 10 minutes. Be sure to rinse feet off in plain water afterwards.

Tip: For best results, prepare bentonite clay in glass, ceramic or wooden utensils rather than metal containers.
